Bess Franzosa

University Attorney

Ms. Franzosa received her B.A. from the University of New Hampshire, her M.S. from Boston University, and her J.D. from Boston College, where she was an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review. Following law school, she clerked for Chief Judge Paul J. Barbadoro of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Ms. Franzosa then joined the law firm of Goodwin Procter as an associate in the Labor & Employment department. She later held employment counsel and employee relations roles at Liberty Mutual, before joining the legal team at Stop & Shop as Director of Employment & Regulatory Law. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Ms. Franzosa led the Litigation & Regulatory Compliance team at Ahold Delhaize USA (the parent company of Stop & Shop and other companies). Ms. Franzosa is also a trained court mediator. At Harvard, Ms. Franzosa advises on labor and employment, litigation, and investigations.
